2019 Food Safety Week-Handle Eggs Safely
We're proud to announce that Australian Pasteurised Eggs are the 2019 sponsor of Food Safety Week in Australia, focusing on egg safety, from the 9th to the 16th of November.
We've partnered with the Australian Food Safety Information Council, to deliver a series of TV and Radio ads, and social media videos that will help the public understand the importance of safe egg handling practices, such as washing your hands after touching eggs, and avoiding cracked or dirty eggs.
Salmonella outbreaks are increasing in Australia, as was witnessed earlier in 2019 when numerous egg farms were put under quarantine, and tens of thousands of eggs were recalled from supermarkets through-out Australia.
A only truly safe egg, is a pasteurised egg, which has had 99.999% of the harmful bacteria eliminated from the shell, the egg white, and the yolk, and only Australian Pasteurised Eggs can deliver such a safe egg.
